About Us

In a Nutshell

Founded in 2019, Troop 2019 is excited to celebrate its 5th anniversary in Scouting. It was with great pride that we became Whittier's very FIRST ALL FEMALE Scouting unit in 2019, welcoming girls of all faiths and all 5th-12th school grades into our program.

We are a part of Scouts BSA, in the Greater Los Angeles Area Council, PIO PICO DISTRICT, and are proudly sponsored by Faith Lutheran Church - Whittier, CA.

Our Troop calendar is full of adventure, from camping in the great outdoors, white water rafting, building fires for cooking for telling scary stories around (and also cooking) on to archery and tea parties and visits to Cat Café's, and much, much more!! We're especially excited to include events like day hikes to our local mountains, beaches or deserts, plays, and festivals. Food is central to our Scouting experience; be it a hot meal and award-winning Dutch Oven Apple cobbler, s'mores around a campfire or tacos and treats for our families.

We track advancements and awards using ScoutBook, a simple, online tool that we offer to parents as a way of viewing their Scout's completions as they move along the ranks of Scouting. When a Scout joins the Troop, an invitation is sent for parents to connect to their ScoutBook profile. We regularly communicate with Troop families using the ScoutBook program, so it's important that you accept that invitation and complete your own profile to include your email address and cell phone number.
